Aspiring Managers Programme

The Tourism Skills Network is delighted to announce the launch of the Aspiring Managers programme in April 2007. Developed by the Tourism Skills Network and delivered by industry professionals, the programme offers a unique opportunity for first line managers in the tourism and hospitality industry.

The Aspiring Managers programme is a dynamic, industry-focused, management development programme designed to produce leaders of the future. The programme is aimed at first level managers and supervisors from any size tourism, hospitality and leisure business in the South West region. Through a year-long development journey, aspiring managers in the region will gain the skills and knowledge to develop into the next generation of industry leaders. During the programme, participants will develop their own leadership abilities through collaboration with their peers from other businesses, and benefit from expert industry briefings and exposure to a variety of different management approaches.

Places on the programme are limited to one per business in the first instance. To apply for the programme, participants must complete an application form. Applications will be assessed on the evidence provided within the application against specified criteria.
